    1. Espiritu wrote that the fact men of color live in a society is creates sex-based norms and expectations
    2. The feminist mandate for gender solidarity tends to ignore power differentials among men, among women, and between white women and men of color.
    3. Asian men from Eurocentric notions of masculinity are based that not all men benefit or benefit equally, from a patriarchal system which is designed to unequal relationships between men and women.
    4. Asian men were brought to America for domestic work which seemed to be of women jobs. Eg, Cleaning, Laundry, cooking.

    2. Chicano and black men masculinity have been ignored due to the fact of them being a minority
    3. Excessive drinking and fighting gives them the machismo masculinity

    3. The distinctive patterns help certain races adapt successfully to the demands of modern society.
